The Medical Superintendent of Civil Hospital, Dimapur laments on attack

The Medical Superintendent of Civil Hospital, Dimapur has condemned the action of the unruly mob for attacking the ambulance on Thursday at City Tower while the injured were being transferred to the hospital. A doctor on duty received minor injury during the incident, he informed media persons today. While reminding that ambulance is respected even in war time, the medical superintendent rued that Nagas have no civic sense and respect. Anybody should respect the ambulance and hospital because they are for everyone, he added.
Meanwhile, 32 persons who were injured during the clash between the police and the mob at City Tower on Thursday were treated at the Dimapur Civil Hospital, said the MS. Among the injured 22 were said to be policemen while 8 were students. 3 serious cases has been referred to Zion Hospital for further treatment while three more are being treated at the hospital, the Medical Superintendent added.
The injured police personnel, however, were referred to the Chumukedima Police Hospital for security reasons after agitators created a commotion outside the hospital premises while bringing in their injured friends, he informed.
