Tenyiphe-III AYUSH Health & Wellness Centre gets new extension rooms
Chief Medical Officer, Dimapur, Dr. I Moatemjen, on Tuesday inaugurated the newly-constructed extension rooms of Tenyiphe-III AYUSH Health & Wellness Centre (AHWC), Chümoukedima district.
The extended rooms will be utilised as MO (AYUSH)-cum-OPD room and yoga hall, an update stated.
The CMO in his inaugural speech stated that Tenyiphe-III sub-centre was upgraded to AYUSH Health & Wellness Centre and a new medical officer (MO) AYUSH was assigned.
This was done to reduce the burden of health through holistic approach by promoting health awareness, preventive measures, healthy lifestyle, yoga and meditation, telemedicine, and to provide easy and affordable access to health care to the public.
Dr. Moatemjen urged the community to take ownership of the health center and to continue their support and contribution towards the development of the health centre.
He also requested the local authorities to consider future growth and development of the health centre and therefore, to clearly demarcate the area of the centre.
The inaugural function was chaired by Dr. Alivi V Chishi, MO (AYUSH), who extended her appreciation towards the community leaders for the tireless support and contribution towards the improvement of the health centre.
Earlier, the invocation prayer was lead by Pastor Yovotsol Kikhi, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Bizo Angami, chairman of Village Health Committee, Virazouma. A short speech was also delivered by Videzol Natso, chairman of Virazouma Village Council.
Other officials present during the inaugural function included Dr. Antoly Suu, Dy.CMO; Dr. Kavito, Dr. Benchilo, Dr. Chem, Dr. Rebecca, Dr. Valentina, Kikolul Khieya; staff under DPMU Dimapur, BPMU Chümoukedima and Tenyiphe-III AHWC, village council members, women leaders and youth leaders of Tenyiphe-II, Virazouma, and Khriezephe villages.
