Mokokchung: Team Fuzz lifted the 7th Master Shield Trophy 2023 by defeating Dynamic Sports Active with a margin of 73 runs in the final match played at Imkongmeren Sports Complex in Mokokchung town on March 17.
Opting to bat first, Team Fuzz ended the inning with a comfortable score of 166/7 in 20 overs wherin Sanjay contributed 31 runs, Santosh 31 runs and Sunep 23 runs.
In the second inning, Team Fuzz totally pressurised the opponent Dynamic Sports Active by giving less time for the batsmen to build their tempo.
The game ended with Team Fuzz knocking down all the wickets in 16.4 overs, while Dynamic Sports Active could score only 93 runs.
The best batsmen award was conferred to Chaman of Dynamic Sports Active, while the best bowler award was given to Phyodemo Ngullie of KP Den from Wokha, most promising player to Nehal of Trebuchet, man of the match final to Raja of Team Fuzz and man of the series to Andrew from Dynamic Sports Active.
It may be mentioned here that the Master Shield Trophy is an yearly event organised by Mokokchung District T20 Cricket Federation. This year’s champion walked away with a cash prize of INR 40000 plus the tournament shield and the runners-up received a cash of INR 25000 and certificates.
