Taxi driver murder: Chakhesang org. demands ‘fast-track justice’
Dimapur, Sep. 12 (EMN): A community organisation by the name of ‘Centre Chakhesang Public Organisation (CCPO)’ has demanded from the ‘judiciary and the prosecution’ not to grant bail ‘at any cost’ to the three persons ‘accused’ of murdering Swuduve Nakro, a taxi driver.
The CCPO issued a press statement on Tuesday warning the authorities concerned that it would not be held responsible for “any law and order problem” in the event of the authorities granting bail to the trio. The statement was appended by Niehusa Cukhami, president of CCPO; and the vice president, Nuvecho.
The organisation has also demanded the state government to “deliver a fast-track justice without delay”, and speed up the process of granting ex-gratia to the bereaved family at the earliest.
