DIMAPUR — Sazolie College of Teacher Education (SZCTE) in Jotsoma under Kohima district celebrated its first graduation day-cum-freshers’ day at Vineizono Hall on August 9.
Rev. Dr. Fr. Solomon Vizo, principal of St. Andrew and St. John Bosco School, Khonoma, was the commencement speaker of the event, the college stated in an update.
In his speech, Rev. Vizo encouraged the student teachers to cultivate kindness and uphold the values of integrity alongside the skills and knowledge acquired from the institute.
Dr. Gomesh Mosahary, principal of SZCTE, in his welcome address, congratulated the graduating batch and conveyed best wishes in their future endeavours.
Two students namely Livino K and Lanusenla Pongen were honoured with the management’s academic toppers award.
The event was chaired by assistant professor, Lemmila Khamrang.
Earlier, the programme commenced with a prayer led by the college’s chaplain, Nzanthung Kikon, and concluded with a vote of thanks and benediction said by Lunchila L Sangtam, a third semester student.
