DIMAPUR — In adherence to its customary practices, the Sumi Hoho has resolved to bar three of its members namely Inavi Swu, Atoho K Kiho and Vikugha Pucho from participating in any social and religious events of the Sümi community for a period of six years with immediate effect owing to their involvement in Naga Hoho activities.

The resolution this effect was taken during its executive committee meeting held on Saturday at Sümi Hoho Ki in Zunheboto town.

In an update, the hoho stated that any intentional breach of the Sümi Hoho’s resolution and that of its affiliated organisations by involvement in activities linked to the non-existent entity known as Naga Hoho, which holds no significance for the Sümi, undermined the integrity of the entire Sümi tribe.

It also resolved to ban the organisation known as “Sumi Aphuyemi Hoho,” for persistently disregarding the Sumi Hoho’s resolution to dissociate from Naga Hoho with immediate effect.

This was stated in a joint statement issued by the hoho president, Nikheto Jimomi, and the general secretary, Dr. Vihuto Asumi.
