Students of GMS NAP Sector visits CHC in Shamator
DIMAPUR — As part of the pre-vocational education for classes 6 to 8 under Samagra Shiksha, students of Government Middle School at NAP Sector in Shamator visited the community health centre (CHC), Shamator, on Thursday.
Accompanied by two teachers as their guide, a total of 40 students visited the CHC, stated a DIPR report.
During the visit, students were introduced to basic health equipment such as stethoscopes, sphygmomanometers, weighing machines, oximeters and thermometers.
It stated that the hands-on experience was aimed at familiarising them with the practical use of those tools and their role in health monitoring.
The primary goal of the visit was to raise awareness among the students about common health issues, help them understand the causes of these problems and learn about preventive measures.
By providing the early exposure to health-related knowledge, the initiative sought to encourage an interest in the healthcare field and promote better personal health habits among the students, the report added.
