Students of GHSS in Phek sensitised on substance abuse

DIMAPUR — Sensitisation programme on substance abuse and addiction under ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’ was conducted at GHSS Phek on September 24 on the theme “Application of the NDPS Act 1985.”

The district sessions judge and chairperson of district legal services authority, Phek, Neiko Akami, who was the resource person of the programme, spoke about indulgence or abuse of drugs by the citizens and the law of land that takes actions. He reminded the student community of GHSS Phek to be aware of the law of land through which different categories of punishment are being face by the offenders.

The EAC of Phek, Kum Nengpichong Singsit, in his short speech, encouraged the students to have aim in life and work harder towards achieving their goals.

The programme was chaired by Shesato Hoshi, vocational trainer at GHSS, Phek, while the welcome address was delivered by Limadangit Jamir, the school principal of GHSS, Phek.
