Strongest man and woman of Northeast India competition to be held in Nagaland

The 1st edition of Strongman Northeast India competition will be held at Orchid ground, Burma Camp in Dimapur, on November 5. The competition is being organised by Strongman Northeast India. Announcing about the event during a press conference at City Gym, Purana Bazar Dimapur, the president of Strongman Northeast India, Mayang Kichu said that the main event will consist of tyre flipping (80 feet), front hold (maximum time), and deadlift (maximum repetition), where weight and tasks will be different according to the body weight of the athletes. There will be four categories for men — under 70 kg, under 80 kg, under 90 kg and open categories. There will be three events for women which includes flipping (60 feet), Front hold (maximum time), deadlift (Maximum repetition) under 65 kg and open category. Apart from the main event, there will also be three side events, which include Gym versus Gym tug-of-war, car pulling and food eating competitions.
