State records 14 new COVID cases, 1 death

Dimapur, July 19 (EMN): The number of active COVID -19 cases in Nagaland increased to 84 with 14 fresh infections — six in Kohima, five in Dimapur, two in Wokha and one in Longleng — reported on Thursday.

The death toll increased to 760 with one fresh fatality during the same period. According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of COVID cases in the state has increased to 35655 and the recoveries rose to 33308 following recuperation of nine cases in Kohima during the past 24 hours.

Out of the 84 active cases, 29 are asymptomatic, 49 mild, three moderate on oxygen, one severe on oxygen and two in ICU on ventilator. In terms of district-wise distribution, Kohima has 42 cases, Dimapur 24, Phek and Longleng four each, Peren and Wokha three each, Mokokchung two, and one each in Mon and Zunheboto, while Kiphire and Tuensang are currently COVID-free.
