DIMAPUR — A preparatory-cum-coordination meeting of all head of offices for the upcoming Independence Day celebration was held at the office of the additional deputy commissioner (ADC) in Bhandari town under Wokha district on Friday.
The ADC of Bhandari, Longdiba L Sangtam, who chaired the meeting, lauded the officers for their pro-active role in rendering diligent services to the public. He also reviewed the successful exercise of the “Safai Apnao Bimari Bhagao” campaign within Bhandari sub-division which was launched in the previous month.
The ADC stated that the campaign has helped to mobilise the public to conduct cleanliness drive in the villages and town areas in order to prepare for monsoon period and also to step up effort to contain and prevent breakout of malaria, dengue and other related diseases, given the hot and humid climatic condition of the sub-division.
As part of preparatory for the upcoming Independence Day celebration 2024, the house deliberated and resolved to carry out mass social and repairing work at Bhandari public sports ground, the venue for Independence Day.
In this regard, work distribution was done and departments were entrusted with assignments to carry out in a given time.
In a related programme, the ADC of Chiephobozou, Alemyapang Longchar, held a coordination meeting with all head of departments on Friday at DB’s Courts in Chiephobozou town.
During the meeting, work distribution and other logistic arrangements were assigned to various departments.
The ADC has requested all department officials to coordinate and execute their respective assigned duties effectively for the successful conduct of the Independence Day celebration. He further requested all the department officials to attend the function.
Meanwhile, the Longleng district administration also held a coordination meeting with the head of departments for preparation and work distribution for the upcoming Independence Day celebration on Friday at DPDB hall in Longleng town.
In the meeting, the deputy commissioner, W Mampai Phom, has entrusted different task to all the departments and requested them to actively participate in their assign works.
The house also resolved to conduct a mass social work in and around Longleng town on August 10.
