Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dilwale’, which is playing at most of the multiplexes have fans going gaga over it and booking their tickets well in advance.
There seems to be no stopping for Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dilwale’ at the box office. The film, which is playing at most of the multiplexes have fans going gaga over it and booking their tickets well in advance. While the box office figures of Friday (December 18) were amazing, Saturday (December 19) also recorded a similar trend in collection.
Almost similar collections on both the days, the film has earned a total of Rs. 41.09 cr until now.
On Friday (December 18), Rohit Shetty’s ‘Dilwale’ minted a decent amount of Rs. 21 cr and on Saturday (December 19) the collections were Rs. 20.09 cr. Bringing together the iconic on screen couple Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, Rohit Shetty’s film is here to stay. Also the young actors Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon have made the right choice by nodding to this film (not that any budding actor would have refused to work with the likes of SRK and Rohit Shetty).
This Friday was a tough competition between SRK’s ‘Dilwale’ and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra. With ‘Dilwale’s number higher than the latter, it is a sure shot winner this week.

‘Dilwale’ opens at USD 3.4 million overseas

Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol-starrer “Dilwale” has stormed the international box office charts with the film earning USD 3.4 million on its opening day.
The Rohit Shetty-directed film, which brings back the iconic pairing of SRK-Kajol after five years, has registered biggest ever opening for any Bollywood film in UAE and is running to packed housed over the weekend, said a release from Shah Rukh’s Red Chillies Entertainment.

Similar response has been echoed in UK, US and other parts of the world.
