Spiritual retreat underway at Straightway HSS

DIMAPUR — A two-day spiritual retreat themed ‘God First’ (Proverbs 3:6) is underway at Straightway Higher Secondary School in Mokokchung. The retreat began on Monday.

According to a press release, the resource persons Dr. Yutsung Imchen, Dr. Aotemshi (chairman and founder of SCMC), Alemla Apong (founder of Children Evangelism), Meyukumla (Centre for Children Ministry, UBS), Sentimenla, and Kikarenla encouraged the children to prioritise God over worldly pursuits, in line with the theme.

It was mentioned that the school envisions evangelising the students, focusing on soul-saving alongside academic excellence and mental wellness.

A healthy spiritual mindset will enable students to be assets to society, it said, adding that this annual event involves participation from all students, from Montessori to Class XII, rejuvenating their spiritual lives.
