Soluophe Students’ Union felicitates students
DIMAPUR — The Soluophe Students’ Union organised a felicitation programme at the village council conference hall in Chümoukedima on August 10 and felicitated 30 students from the village, recognising their achievements at the Class 10, 12, and graduation levels.
According to a press release, Bishnu Bhattacharjee, chairman of the Linguistic Minority Forum of Nagaland, attended the programme as the guest speaker.
Other delegates included Sujit Dey, headmaster of Cosmopolitan School in Chümoukedima; Anand Gurung, former president of the Gorkha Students’ Union; Arijit Sharma, joint general secretary of the Nagaland Medicine Dealers’ Association; Seluophe Village Council chairman Lhutsoyi Rhakho; and GB Akho. The chairperson of the programme was Likusa Anal.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhattacharjee congratulated the awardees and other students from Seluophe for their outstanding results. He encouraged the students to remain dedicated to their studies and commended the elders for their support in shaping the students’ futures.
Bhattacharjee referred to students as assets of society and urged them to acquire knowledge that can transform them into individuals with wisdom and understanding, capable of leading their society, state, and country.
Arijit Sharma and Sujit Dey also addressed the gathering with brief speeches.
