Software developed to monitor movement of foreigners in India

The office of the Commissioner of Police Dimapur today issued by a press note regarding registration of foreigners by maintaining a Central Database to monitor the movement and stay of foreign tourists and students in India.
For this purpose, a software Module- ‘C Form Module’ has been developed to facilitate on-line filling of the particulars of foreigner nationals by the hoteliers where foreigners are lodged.
The press note said, hotel/guest house/lodge/resort/hospital etc are to create an ID through http://indianfrro.gov.in/frro/FormC to enter the foreigners’ data as and when they arrive in the premises. As per rule, it is statutory obligation to intimate the office of the Foreigners Registration Officer of all arrival and stay of Foreigner in the premises.
In the same lines, ‘S Form Module’has been developed to facilitate on-line filling of the particulars of foreign students by the educational institute where foreigners are enrolled as students / research scholars.
“The educational institutes with foreign students are to create an ID through http://indianfrro.gov.in/fsis. A unique ID for the foreign students is generated after the on-line filling of the particulars. The Foreigners Registration Office shall not entertain Registration/ Visa extension/ exit of any foreign students in the absence of the registration of the concerned institutes in the Module. Inconvenience and liabilities thereof caused to the foreign students will rest upon the institute. Non- compliance attracts liability under the Foreigners Act 1946 against such establishments & Institutes.”
The press note also informed that a representative with basic computer knowledge, from such aforementioned Establishments & Institutes, may be deputed to understand the procedures to the Office of the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur cum Foreigners Registration Office or log into http://indianfrro.gov.in/frro/FormCor http://indianfrro.gov.in/fsis for creating the user ID.
