Officials and trainees at the Demand- Driven Skill Development Training in Construction Sector held at Sanis town, Wokha, on Monday.

Dimapur, July 11 (EMN): The 6th Lap Demand- Driven Skill Development Training in Construction Sector for Multi Skill Technician, was inaugurated at Sanis Town under Wokha District on Monday.

The training programme was organised by the Department of Employment, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, Government of Nagaland, in collaboration with empanelled Training Partner- Zynorique Initiative Society, a DIPR report stated.

Chairman, Zynorique Initiative Society, Richard Belho, who gave a brief note on the training program highlighted the importance of skill development and the common vision towards skilling the youth for livelihood purpose and work towards mitigating the problems of unemployment in the State.

Deputy director, Employment, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, Zubemo Lotha Tsanglao, conveyed the willingness of the department to train the youth in skill related job roles. EAC Sanis, Arhomo Yanthan, thanked the department for bringing the training program to the Sanis Sub-Division and encouraged the trainees to sincerely attend the skill training program.

Altogether 50 unemployed youths will be trained on plumbing and electrical job roles during the weeklong training program.

Meanwhile in Longleng, the culmination programme of Demand-Driven Skill Development Training for unemployed youth in the construction sector was held at DUDA Guest House, Longkhim Town, on July 9 last.

According to an official report, assistant director ESD & E, Kulo Kezo, congratulated the participants for the successful completion of their training and also urged them to make use of their knowledge and passion to get self-employed in the construction sector.

The programme was chaired by vice-principal ITI Tuensang, Netenba Ajem, and short speeches were delivered by ADC Longkhim, Phuleshe K Yepthomi, and vice president TSLU, Khumrili. The participants were given certificates and power tools by the Department, the report added.
