Skill development centre inaugurated at Changlangshu village
DIMAPUR —A skill development centre was inaugurated at Changlangshu village in Mon by Brigadier Vikram Singh, DIG of the 7 Sector Tuensang, Assam Rifles, on Monday and it was dedicated by Manlem, the pastor of CBC.
According to an update, the centre was constructed under Operation Sadbhavana 2023–24 by the 29th Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 3 Corps.
The inauguration programme was attended by Naiba Konyak, MLA of the 55 A/C Tobu, Col. Neelesh Bharwaj, Commandant of the 29 Assam Rifles, Maj. Devendra of the 29 Assam Rifles, as well as the village leaders and functionaries of Changlangshu village and Bumei village.
The skill development centre has been established to promote handloom weaving in rural areas, particularly aimed at empowering women economically, it said.
