Management and Commerce departments of St. Joseph University (SJU) have jointly organised the 4th ‘Ignite Fest’ on February 20 at the university auditorium with an eminent women entrepreneur, Jesmina Zeliang, as the speaker on the theme ‘Step towards excellence.’
Speaking on the occasion, Jesmina has encouraged and motivated young generations stating that college days is a right time to decide whether to break or make their life. She also mentioned on the importance of humility and simplicity in life to achieve success.
She encouraged the youth to inculcate habit of savings early in life and start simple venture rather than depending on other, which according to her is one major illness among the youth today. She also motivated the students to focus more on creative industry and be job providers for others.
In conclusion, she advised the youth to be ‘original and not imitate others.’
The programme was also attended by the registrar of St. Joseph University and other dignitaries.
On the occasion, students from various institutions participated in activities such as business plan, debate, MI/ BGMI, basketball, penalty shootout, ignite voice and Mr and Miss Ignite contest.
