SJU hosts seminar on linguistics, literature, and culture
DIMAPUR — The Department of English, St. Joseph University (SJU), Chümoukedima, conducted its second two-day national seminar on October 7 and 8 on the theme “Reviving linguistics, literature and cultural studies.”
The main focus of the seminar was to revive the areas concerning linguistics, literature, and cultural studies and to evaluate the changes and developments that have occurred over time.
The national seminar also aimed to study how language, literature, and culture are interwoven and correlated in various aspects.
On the first day, three paper presentations were made by research scholars of SJU, followed by additional paper presentations on the second day, in which 25 papers, authored and co-authored by 37 teachers, scholars, and students on various topics, were presented.
