DIMAPUR — Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Jakhama, conducted a two-day national seminar on “75 years of India’s achievements: Ideas and resolve” on April 14 and 15 at the college’s conference hall. The event was sponsored by Indian Council of Social Sciences Research (ICSSR), New Delhi.
An update from the college stated that the keynote address was delivered by Prof. Kedilezo Kikhi, professor of Sociology at Tezpur University, Assam.
It stated that the two-day national seminar began with an inaugural session in which the welcome address was delivered by the college’s principal, Fr. Dr. George Keduolhou Angami.
It stated a total of 25 papers were presented by various academicians and scholars from different colleges and universities divided into six technical sessions during the seminar.
It added that certificates were given to the various paper presenters during the valedictory function and concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Hormila Zingkhai, convenor of the seminar.
