DIMAPUR — Shikhu Lagha Kuposhokulu (Shilkhu clan) has termed the false allegations hurled by Dr. Mlato Shikhu and Chelsea Kaur/ Kikon at the former’s children, their uncle and his family and the Shikhu clan on local news channels as ‘disgraceful and despicable.’
It stated that the public humiliation and character assassination of one’s own children to fit in their schemes was unfathomable and something unheard of in any society.
The clan added that the accusations made by Chelsea Kaur/ Kikon was imaginary and divisive as she does not even know the children personally neither stepped her foot into the home of the children nor have any idea about the dynamics of Dr. Mlato Shikhu’s family.
“While these outrageous claims made by the duo has deeply hurt the children and family and needs rebuttal, the Shikhu clain is also of the view that this is a family matter that transpired from self-serving agenda of a stranger which needs no attention of the general public as it will unnecessarily drag the family and clan to further embarrassment for no fault of theirs,” the statement read.
As the case is now under investigation, it stated that the investigation agency should be given a fair chance to do their job without disruption from any corner.
The Shikhu clan further made it clear that the clan had attempted to resolve the issue multiple times but the duo dishonoured the efforts made by the clan.
