Shamba scores double hat-trick as Fraternity FC eases to next round

Vanguard FC, Dejavu FC enter second round

Shamba Samson scored double hat-trick as Fraternity FC blanked Fennec FC 9-0 to make it through to the second round of the ongoing Classic Cup Tournament held at Kohima Local Ground.
Shamba, who scored seven goals, led from the front to steer his team get past the preliminary round. Shamba made an early breakthrough in the 8th minute, followed by another quick goal in the 11th minute.
He went on to score two more goals in the first half. He scored his first hat-trick goal in the 17th minute, while he found the net for the fourth time in the 26th minute.
Entering the second half, Keneisetuo Kire also found the net in the 44th minute to take the score line to 5-0. It was Shamba’s day and he was all out to disappoint his opponents as he went on to score again in the 47th minute.
Shamba scored his second hat-trick in the 50th minute, followed by another in the 53rd minute.
Fraternity humbled their rivals Fennec by dominating the entire match proceedings. Kevisanyü sealed the match in the 58th minute taking the score line to 9-0 in favour of Fraternity FC.
Day-two of the Tournament witnessed raining goals as Vanguard FC and Dejavu FC also made their entry into the second round.Earlier in the first match, Vanguard FC hammered Roaster Club by 6-0 to enter the next round. James Kelengoto gave his team the much needed lead in the 14th minute, soon followed by the second goal in the 19th minute by Yhunshalo Kemp. Paul Magh and Nyathung Magh scored their team’s third and fourth goals in the 31st and 42nd minute.
The effort of Bhaiyo’s Club to fight back was taken aback as Kelengoto scored again in the 52nd minute, while Yhunshalo scored his second goal in the 59th minute to make it 6-0.
In the second match, Dejavu FC overcame Bhaiyo’s Club by 3-0. Imnarenba made the breakthrough in the 16th minute.
Entering the second half, Bhaiyo’s Club’s effort to fight back was taken aback as Dejavu’s midfielder Asito Krose scored in the 53rd minute, followed by the third goal by Sevizo Pucho in the 54th minute.
