The 14th annual sports meet of School of Engineering and Technology (SET), Nagaland University, Dimapur, was held from March 7 to the 11th at State Sports Academy ground on the Theme ‘Tradition Honorpassion.’
President of Dimapur Naga Students’ Union, Moayanger Jamir, kicked off the sports meet, an update stated.
“The annual athletic meet embodies the zeal, talents and spirit of sportsmanship of the students of School Of Engineering And Technology,” it stated.
More than 250 students participated in various sporting events and games including volleyball, cricket, badminton, table tennis, high jump, 100, 400 and 1x 400 metre relay race and shot-put.
The final event was tug-of-war (both men and women) in which all the teams – Spartan, Titan, Kings and Vanguard – took part.
Team Spartan was declared the overall champions of the sports meet.
National executive member BJYM and entrepreneur, Arvind Damani, was the special guest in the closing ceremony.
