DIMAPUR — The Boxing Association Mokokchung (BAM) is hosting the second Intensive Free Boxing Camp at P Shilu Ao Park, Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokching.
The camp, which began on Tuesday, is being organised in collaboration with the Department of Youth Resources and Sports (DYRS) and the Nagaland Amateur Boxing Association (NABA), with professional boxing coach from DYRS and NABA vice president Lakatsu Chophy as the head coach, according to an update.
Lanuakum Imsong, president of BAM, encouraged the young participants to be confident and to keep their sights set on excelling in the sport during a short programme held prior to the start of the camp.
He said that BAM would always be there for the young aspiring boxers—to help them achieve excellence and promote and open avenues for pursuing their dreams.
The update mentioned that registration for the camp has been extended until Wednesday, October 12, and registration timing is at 3 pm. The coaching starts at 5 pm.
BAM encouraged all aspirants who met the qualification to register for the camp, citing that those with the aptitude and talent would be shortlisted for furthering their boxing career.
