DIMAPUR — In pursuance to sub rule (3) of Rule 9 of the Nagaland Municipal Election Rules, 2023 and in exercise of the powers conferred under section 31 (1) of the Nagaland Municipal Act, 2023, the State Election Commissioner (SEC), T John Longkumer, has designated the deputy commissioners in the state as “Appellate Authorities” in their respective districts on behalf of the commission.
The appellate authorities were appointed for disposing of appeals during the period of the conduct of Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls, 2024 in the municipal and town councils.
According to a DIPR report, the various appellate authorities included Kumar Ramnikant for Kohima, Thsuvisie Poji for Mokokchung, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang for Dimapur, A Zibenthung Kithan for Tuensang, Rahul Banudas Mali for Zunheboto, Ajit Kumar Verma for Mon, Ajit Kumar Ranjan for Wokha, Vineet Kumar for Peren, Temsuwati Longkumer for Kiphire, John Tsulisie Sangtam for Phek, Dharam Raj for Longleng, Arikumba for Noklak, Rohit Singh for Tseminyu, Y Chingyak Konyak for Shamator, Abhinav Shivam for Chümoukedima and Sara S Jamir for Niuland.
