Schools, shops to remain closed today

Dimapur, June 29

All business establishments in Dimapur will remain closed tomorrow in view of the arrival of the mortal remains of Naga leader Isak Chishi Swu from New Delhi.
As a mark of respect to the departed soul of the legendary Naga leader Isak Chishi Swu, Dimapur Chamber of Commerce & Industries president Hokivi Chishi requested all business establishments to remain closed from 6 .a.m to 6 p.m. However, Petrol Pumps are exempted from the said closure.

Student Unions inform schools
The Dimapur Naga Students’ Union and Diphupar Naga Students’s Union directed closure of all the educational institutions on June 30 under its respective jurisdictions as a mark of respect to our great Naga leader Late.Eno. Isak Chishi Swu(Chairman/Yaruiwo of NSCN(IM).Condolence service at Agri-Expo
The Naga public organisations under the aegis of Naga Hoho & ENPO appealed all the Naga civil societies, various Naga tribe organisations, all the Naga national political groups, political parties, concerned citizen of the Nagas and well-wishers to attend the public memorial condolence service in honour of legendary of the Naga nation Late Isak Chishi Swu, the Yaruiwo (Chairman) of the NSCN on June 30 at 2:00 pm, at Agri-Expo, Dimapur.
Naga Hoho Kohima informs
The Naga Hoho, Kohima informed all the citizens of Dimapur to pay their last tribute and homage to late Isak Chishi Swu, Chairman of the Collective Leadership of NSCN (IM). His mortal remains will be received at Dimapur airport with full respect and honour. Thereafter, all present have been requested to proceed to the grounds of Agri Expo, where his funeral service will be conducted in the presence of the Governor (Nagaland & Assam) and the Chief Minister of Nagaland at 1:00 pm on Thursday. All the affiliated 19 Tribal Hohos along with other civil organizations like Naga Women Hoho Dimapur, DNSU, DUCCF, GB Union Dimapur, etc. along with all the other different communities residing in Dimapur have been requested to be present with traditional attires while attending the funeral service of departed leader.
NSCN/GPRN flags fly half-mast
As a mark of respect to the departed leader Isak Chishi Swu, the Yaruiwo of Nagalim, a 7-day mourning will be observed throughout Nagalim from June 28. Informing this in a release, Cabinet Secretary GPRN, DG Robert, said, during the state mourning period, the National flag shall fly half-mast in all the government offices and the official residence of authorities and there will be no official entertainment.
Reception at Kohima on July 1
The Angami Public Organisation along with the Angami frontal organisations will be organizing a reception to honor the great Naga leader at Kohima town on Friday, July 1. In this regard, the APO has informed all the concerned tribal organisations, NGOs based in Kohima to coordinate with APO for the event at the earliest. During the proceeding hours of the arrival of the body, the normal life and activities will be disrupted. The APO has requested the public to cooperate and pay the last respect to the leader. A short tribute service will be held at Old MLA Junction, details of which will be disseminated soon.
NSF urges Edu institutions to remain closed on July 1
The Naga Students’ Federation appealed all the educational institutions in the entire Naga inhabited areas to remain closed on July 1 as a mark of love and respect for the legendary Naga leader Late. Isak Chishi Swu, Yaruiwo (President) National Socialist Council of Nagalim. The Federation directed all the Federating Units and Subordinate bodies to disseminate the information and monitor in their respective jurisdictions.The Federation further requested all the trade/business union/association/chamber of commerce and concerned business establishments in entire Naga areas to remain closed on July 1. The Federation fervently appealed to all the concerned to cooperate to the call of the NSF in this hour of mourning.
