School Education dept. notifies on Constitution Day celebrations

Dimapur, Nov. 23 (EMN): The Department of School Education has directed all schools to conduct reading of the preamble at 11 am on Nov.26 along with the prime minister of India.

An update from DIPR stated that all “heads of all schools (both govt. and private) having classes 9 and above that Prime Minister of India will be reading the Preamble of the Constitution of India at 11 am  on November 26,  2020 as a part of Constitution Day celebrations to commemorate the adoption of Constitution of India.”

Schools may also organise other activities such as talks or webinar on constitution values and fundamental principles of the Indian Constitution on the same day, it said. Schools have also been asked to submit compliance reports with good quality photographs to the respective DEOs through email before 4 pm of the same day, it added.
