School Education department invites teachers to apply for virtual teaching

Dimapur, April 26 (EMN): The Nagaland education authorities have invited applications from government and private school teachers in and around Kohima to “tele/radio” tutor students of the classes 8-10 and class 12.

The School Education department issued on Sunday a letter inviting teachers who have minimum teaching experience of five years and have ‘good’ command of the subject.

The teachers are to teach through Doordarshan or All India Radio during the lockdown, the letter appended by Shanavas C, principal director, stated.

The subjects for classes 8 to the 10th are English, mathematics, science, and social science. The subjects for class 12 are English, Alternative English, history, education, political science, sociology, and economics (Arts). The subjects for the science stream are physics, chemistry, mathematics, botany and zoology.

The classes are 30 minutes per subject.

Interested teachers are invited to send their applications in MS word document, as an attachment, through email to director.se.nagaland@gmail.com before 11 am of April 28, the letter stated.

The education establishment will pay a rate of honorarium as prescribed by the department, it stated.
