SCC observes ‘World Health Day’

DIMAPUR — The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Students’ Union of Sao Chang College (SCC), in collaboration with the District Hospital, Tuensang, observed ‘World Health Day’ at District Hospital, Tuensang, on Sunday.

Speaking at the programme, Dr. Tochi, medical superintendent in-charge, stressed on the importance of health for everyone. He stated that good health is the right of every individual irrespective of social, economic or any other status, an update from the college stated.

Dr. Tochi encouraged the gathering to practice healthy life habits to ensure good health by drinking pure water, eating good food items and breathing healthy air. He further encouraged the students, faculty and staff nurses attending the programme to promote healthy environment around them saying that human life and environment are connected to each other.

The programme was chaired by Dr. Santosh Kumar Singh, IQAC coordinator of SCC, while speeches were also delivered by Dr. Senilo, psychiatrist at District Hospital, Tuensang, and Dr. Lanurenla, principal of Sao Chang College.

Altogether, 55 participants including principal, IQAC coordinator along with members, students of Sao Chang College, doctors and nurses of District Hospital Tuensang attended the programmee.
