Sazolie College conducts cleanliness drive at Mt. Puliebadze

DIMAPUR — The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit and Eco Club of Sazolie College jointly organised a nature walk-cum-cleanliness drive at Mt. Puliebadze on February 14, which was attended by the principal, administrator, two NSS programme officers, teacher-in-charge of the eco club, faculty, staff, and students, totaling around 60 participants.

According to a press release, Assistant Professor Dr. Vimhaseno Kera, department of Environmental Science, delivered a short talk on the importance of cleanliness and the role of protected areas in conservation on the occasion.

The cleanliness drive was carried out from the top to the base of Mt. Puliebadze, it mentioned.

“It was an enriching time being in the midst of nature as well as doing our part to give back to Mother Nature for all that it provides,” the release read, adding that the college further strives to continue to do its part to help maintain and keep the area clean and to promote environmental awareness to the general public.
