Satakha public advised to uphold integrity

Dimapur, Nov. 13 (EMN): Underlining the important roles of NGOs and civil societies, the former NPF candidate from 36 Satakha assembly constituency, Zheito Chophy called upon the public of Satakha and Satoi area to uphold the value of integrity and serve for the common benefit of the people.

Zheito Chophy stated this during the closing ceremony of U-13 Satakha Area Sports and Cultural Association as the special guest on November 12 at Satakha public ground. He stated that civil society platforms should not be used as political tool or for religious inclination, which might mislead the common people.

Chophy stated that when a leader utilise community platforms for other purposes, it would ultimately be a threat to common people. He, therefore, encouraged Satakha Area Sports and Cultural Association to uphold the value and principle of its organisation and continue to work for the benefits of common people.

While lauding the organisers for initiating the event, he urged the people of Satakha to practice and preserve their custom and tradition and pass it to the younger generation to sustain the rich heritage. He also called upon the people of Satakha to uphold the legacy of their pioneers.

Stating that the future lies in the hands of the youth, he appealed to the youth to be in the forefront and lead the people of Satakha to choose the right leader and determine a new future.

Zheito Chophy was accompanied by Ihoto K Shohe, Class-I contactor; Phushika Awomi, vice president NPF central; Hotoshe Sumi, Class-I contractor and president of NCSU Dimapur division; Hukavi Muru, Class-I contractor; Kavito Awomi, Head GB of Tsutoho village Satoi area; Nitovi Aye, public leader; Kakheto Aye, general secretary of Satoi Range GBs’ Association; Vitolu Chophy, chairman of Saptiqa Area GBs’ Association; Tovika Zhimo, public leader and NPF president Zunheboto division; and  36 AC NPF president and colleagues and well-wishers.
