SASRD organises training on vegetable nursery management

Dimapur, Oct. 5 (EMN): AICRP (VC), Nagaland Centre, SASRD, NU under TSP (Tribal Sub Plan) conducted a farmer’s training on “Nursery management of vegetable crops” at Hekheshe village. The training programme was graced by In-charge ICAR-AICRP (VC), SASRD, NU Dr. SP Kanaujia.
The training was organised to highlight the farmers on the importance of nursery management in vegetable production and to make them aware of the benefits and advantages of raising a vegetable nursery.
Dr. Moakala Changkija, Scientist, ICAR-AICRP (VC) and GB of Hekheshe village also gave brief speeches during the meeting.
Scientist ICAR-AICRP (VC) Dr. Aastik Jha, demonstrated on nursery management of vegetable crops and preparation of nursery beds and its management.
Seeds of different vegetables were distributed to all 75 participants from Hekheshe village and Tsüüma village.
