Saramati Nexus Club win KDCA Silver Jubilee Tournament

KIPHIRE — The Kiphire District Cricket Association (KDCA) Silver Jubilee  Tournament, which was underway in Kiphire, concluded on Saturday at the public ground, with Saramati Nexus Club emerging victorious against Kiphire Knight Riders, winning by four wickets in the final.

In the individual awards, Rajesh Das was awarded for being the highest run scorer, while Ritik Kumar earned the title of highest wicket taker and also received the man of the match award. Peusuthong was honoured as the best wicketkeeper.

Speaking at the concluding programme, special guest Luthong Yimkhiung, PA to the deputy commissioner of Kiphire, congratulated KDCA on the successful execution of the tournament.

He emphasised the potential of sports as a viable career for youth and reminded participants that both winning and losing are integral to the sporting experience. He encouraged them to maintain their passion for cricket and to continue fostering the sport in the district.

Justin Khatomong T, president of KDCA, expressed gratitude to all sponsors, players, and officials for their contributions and commitment. He reaffirmed the KDCA’s dedication to promoting sports and youth development in the district, urging continued community support.
