Sao Chang College students taught on fire risk management
Dimapur, Feb. 3 (EMN): The students and staff of Sao Chang College, Tuensang, witnessed several tricks on fire incident rescue, evacuation and management at the premises of the institute on Monday as experts comprising officers and personnel from the Nagaland Fire and Emergency Services, Tuensang led by officer-in-charge C Renbenthung demonstrated the techniques during a mock drill exercise.
This was informed by the media cell of Sao Chang College, Tuensang, on February 3.
The students, teaching faculty and non-teaching staff of Sao Chang College were taught basic knowledge on disaster management techniques and rescue methods even as experts demonstrated emergency fire dousing techniques by using different types of fire extinguishers for different type and nature of fire outbreak, informed the update.
In this regard, the college authority has expressed its gratitude to the office of the Nagaland Fire and Emergency Services, Tuensang, for imparting the most-needed basic knowledge about disaster handling methods and techniques that could save lives and minimise casualty in the event of any calamity.
