An inter-house volleyball championship for junior students at Sainik School Punglwa was held from April 25 to April 28. A total of six teams from different houses participated in the championship, informed a press release from the school.
Sanjay Gaekwad, the principal of Sainik Scool Punglwa gave away the medals and certificate to the winning teams. In his short address, he congratulated all the participants for exhibiting disciplined team spirit, and exhorted them to strive for excellence in the days ahead.The cadets of Sainik School showed excellent sportsmanship during the conduct of volleyball championship, according to the press release. In a highly competitive match Patkai House defeated Doyang House by scores of 25-23, 21-25, 25-19 to emerge champions. Cadet Khroku Ritse of Patkai house was adjudged the best player. The winner of this volleyball championship will represent Sainik School, Punglwa at the East Zone Championship, which will be held soon.
