SAI to hold online training for physical education teachers
Dimapur, Feb. 18 (EMN): Sports Authority of India (SAI) has announced to organise a two-day online training programme/webinar on Zoom app for physical education teachers on March 2 and 3/ March 4 and 5 between 2:30 – 4 pm.
An update from the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) stated that Sports Authority of India is developing a four-stage framework – grassroots, development, excel and elite – to capture different sporting pathways. Observing that physical fitness assessment of school going children is first step towards grassroots talent identification, SAI felt the need to identify talent by all teacher inclusive of PE teachers in schools.
It stated that physical education teachers, after the training, would be able to register their school, create profile for themselves, upload students’ data, usage of KIFA and learn how to do assessment.
In order to revive the sports culture in the state of Nagaland, all the head of institutions and physical education teachers (both government and private) are requested to register and attend the online training programme.
