Kohima, Sep 4 (EMN): One-day workshop on Public Financial Management System (PFMS) and Goods & Services Tax (GST) was organised for Rural Development Officers at RD Conference Hall on September 4.
The training on PFMS was conducted in two sessions-theory and practical. Officials from PFMS highlighted the objectives, mandate, features and main modules of PFMS.
The organisers stated that PFMS is a Central Sector Plan Scheme of the Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure. It is being implemented by the Office of Controller General of Accounts which is the apex accounting authority of the Government of India under Ministry of Finance.
The resource persons from Finance Department included Operation Managers-Vivek Kr. Ambasta, Dinkar Kumar and Raunak Singh Parihar.
Meanwhile, the session on Goods & Services Tax (GST) was conducted by Pralay Chakraborty, CA of Pralay & Associates.
The workshop was chaired by Kelei Zeliang, Secretary RD and attended by all Project Directors, Block Development Officers, Sectional Officers, Assistant Programme Coordinators, Computer Assistants and Data Entry Operators.
