DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 2: Lone Lok Sabha MP, Neiphiu Rio, advised the students to learn the value of time and asked them to be conscious of how they are using their time saying, “Time is limited and cannot be multiplied.”
Addressing the members of Naga Students’ Union Guwahati (NSUG) on the occasion of its 51st freshers’ day on October 1, Rio stressed on the importance of attaining life skills. “One cannot do without life skills, no matter who we are, where we go or what we do,” he maintained adding “Education and life skills should go hand-in-hand.”
Terming Guwahati as the “nerve centre of the north east,” Rio was happy to see the Nagas in Guwahati united. He also reminisced about his college days and how the educational system has changed over the years.
He urged the students to always be united and wished them success in all their endeavours and prosper from stage to stage in the years to come and continue to rise and shine.
The Union president, Vitso Rio, in his welcome address, lauded the chief guest for all his achievements and welcomed the freshers urging them to march forward with a commitment.
