Alito Wotsa: Hi! I’m Alito Wotsa and I’m a musician, singer, composer and lyricist ..from Dimapur..
EASTERN MIRROR: Where do you draw your influences from?
Alito Wotsa: Well..I grew up listening to Artists like Celine Dion, bobMarley,Shania Twain , bee gees etc, all different genres but they did influence me with their music, and so maybe I’m still all over the place when it comes to music but it actually helps me best as a vocal teacher.
EASTERN MIRROR: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given as an artist?
Alito Wotsa: Practice ,practice and practice!!!!
EASTERN MIRROR: How would you describe your music?
Alito Wotsa: I’d say I mostly do contemporary-pop and country but I love to keep it versatile..
EASTERN MIRROR: What is your debut “Leap of Faith” all about?
Alito Wotsa: Well..I actually wrote this song last year when my best friend’s father was fighting the last stage cancer, it made me ponder upon the hardships and suffering and frustration in life..I also see that many of us are depressed or frustrated with life in our own ways..so this is a song which would remind us to take a leap of faith because there is always a brighter day that awaits no matter what!
EASTERN MIRROR: Do you have any upcoming projects you would like your fans to know about?
Alito Wotsa: Mmmmh..not much ..but I do have some exciting up coming songs which I’m working on now..
EASTERN MIRROR: As a music teacher by profession, what advice can you give to those who wish to pursue music as a profession?
Alito Wotsa: Little piece of advice…don’t compare, just do what you do, and do it like you have no other choice..successful musicians are confident and adventurous enough to dive into their music careers headfirst as we know.
