The talented singer-songwriter Dieze Sothu has burst into the indie pop scene with his debut EP, 18. Dieze’s charming album is full of hopeful and romantic ballads, inspired by his personal life experiences. Besides singing, he also loves teaching and has even started a coaching centre for science and math.

Dieze is also releasing a new single this month titled “Sunshine” so listeners watch out.

Eastern Mirror: How would you like to introduce yourself to our readers?

Dieze Sothu: Firstly, Thank you for letting me be a part of your article.

Well I am an independent music artist who loves to express my thoughts in the form of melodies.

Eastern Mirror: How would you define your style of music?

Dieze Sothu: I define my style of music as Pop and pop ballad

Eastern Mirror: What is your last extended play titled “18” all about?

Dieze Sothu: The Extended play is a collection of music that I wrote based on my personal life and based on some beautiful stories.

The EP is all about confessing a piece of my heart to listeners.

Eastern Mirror: What inspired you the most while composing lyrics?

Dieze Sothu: My personal experience plays the biggest role when I write my lyrics and I try to keep my lyrics simple and friendly for all to listen.

Eastern Mirror: What do you wish to communicate through your songs?

Dieze Sothu: When I make music all that I wish for is that someone somewhere can relate to my music and feel, or relate the same emotions that I felt.

Eastern Mirror: As a musician, what is your definition of success?

Dieze Sothu: When the crowd starts singing my song in words that will be the day I know that I made it.

Eastern Mirror: The most memorable and best crowd you have performed for so far.

Dieze Sothu: I enjoy every gig that I have performed but if I were to choose, St. Joseph’s college Jakhama by far.

Eastern Mirror: Apart from singing, what else interests you?

Dieze Sothu: I enjoy teaching and that’s the reason I started a small coaching centre last year for math and science as I myself am a chemistry graduate. And I feel this is the one way I can balance my music and educational value.

Eastern Mirror: Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?

Dieze Sothu: I see and picture myself as a happy man with no regrets.

Eastern Mirror: Any upcoming projects that your fans can look forward to?

Dieze Sothu: Firstly I just want to thank everyone for the love and support all the way through and I know they would continue to do so. I will be releasing a new single “Sunshine” this month on the 25th of August across all streaming platforms so, my humble request to everyone reading this is to kindly give it a listen.

Eastern Mirror: Any message for your listeners?

Dieze Sothu: Life is too short to leave space for regrets, believe in yourself, be positive, take criticism, love yourself and never stop learning.
