Research Methodology Course at NU Kohima concludes

DIMAPUR — A 10-day Research Methodology Course for M.Phil./Ph.D./PDF scholars in social sciences, which was underway at Nagaland University (NU), Kohima Campus, and organised by the department of Education, concluded on November 30.

It was sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research, Ministry of Education, and during the training, 31 research scholars explored the idea of the research process in the social sciences, steps in the research process, review of literature, variables and their types, and so on, according to a press release.

Scholars from NU Kohima Campus, NU Lumami Campus, North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Bodoland University, Sikkim University, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Assam University, Osmania University, Gandhigram Rural Institute, and other institutions represented 12 disciplines in social sciences. Pre-test, post-test, and activities were used to assess participants’ comprehension.

A total of 38 sessions were conducted by external resource persons, both from outside the state and within the state, along with sessions held by resource persons from within the campus.

The valedictory session witnessed the presence of the Pro Vice Chancellor of Nagaland University, Kohima Campus, G T Thong, head of the department of Education Buno Liegise, course director M Rajendra Nath Babu, and senior faculty members of NU, Kohima Campus.
