DIMAPUR — Reminding that every member holds an important position in the department, the director of Rural Development, Azenuo Pienyu, urged the officials to take up their roles and responsibilities with sincerity to uplift the department and make positive impact in the lives of rural people.

Pienyu stated this during the general conference of the Nagaland Rural Development Service Association (NRDSA) held at RD conference hall in Kohima on Saturday. Pienyu, who is also the advisor of NRDSA, lauded the president of NRDSA and his colleagues for successfully organising the conference in a grand manner and also congratulated the new team of office bearers on behalf of the department. She further invoked God’s blessing and wisdom to guide the association to achieve greater heights.

Speech on behalf of the outgoing office bearers was delivered by the joint director, Achila Quinker, while speech on behalf of new office bearers was delivered by NRDSA president, Kupto Achumi; and speech on behalf of Forum of All Nagaland BDO, APO & RDO (FANBAR) was delivered by its convenor, Seyiekhrielie Rio.

Meanwhile, a new team of NRDSA was elected headed by Kupto Achumi as president and Vihesanuo Solo as general secretary for the tenure 2023-2026.
