Rainfall activity likely to increase in next few days

Dimapur, July 17 (EMN): Following the rains that lashed across the state on Sunday, rainfall activity is likely to increase in Nagaland and over Northeastern states from July 18 as per the weather observed during the past 25 hours, reported the India Meteorological Department.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall with extremely heavy falls is expected at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya during July 18 to the 21st.
Widespread light/moderate rainfall with heavy falls is very likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during the next five days.
Moderate rainfall or thunderstorm is very likely in many places in the state and thunderstorm with lightning and heavy rain is very likely at isolated places from July 18 to the 22nd as per the IMD Regional Meteorological Centre, Guwahati, report on Sunday.
Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely at isolated places over Peren, Kohima, Phek, Wokha and Longleng on July 18 while there was no warning for Dimapur and Zunheboto. Thunderstorm with lightning and heavy rain is very likely at isolated places over Mokokchung, Tuensang and Mon while heavy rain is expected at isolated places in Kiphire.
On July 19, heavy rain is very likely at isolated places over Phek, Tuensang, Longleng and Mon while there was no warning over Dimapur, Peren, Wokha, Kiphire, Zunheboto, Kohima and Mokokchung.
Heavy rain is very likely at isolated places over Kohima, Wokha, Phek and Kiphire on July 20 while Dimapur, Peren, Zunheboto, Mokokchung, Tuensang, Longleng and Mon had no warning.
