Question paper leaked but Nagaland board conducts exams

Kohima, April 11 (EMN): The political science question paper for the ongoing Class 11 promotion examination 2022 got leaked on Sunday but the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) conducted the exam as scheduled on Monday with the second set of question paper.

The political science examination for Class 11 was scheduled for April 11, Monday from 10 am to 1 pm.

On learning about the first set of questions paper being leaked on Sunday morning, a day before the schedule, the NBSE averted a major inconvenience to students by immediately cancelling the leaked question paper and considering it ‘null and void’, it was informed.

The board then uploaded the second set of Class 11 political science question paper at 8:30 am on Monday, an hour-and-a-half before the examination began.

Sources informed this newspaper that the incident happened at around 5:30 am on Sunday.

On this, the NBSE has filed a complaint at Kohima Police (Crime) and further investigation is on.

“This action on the part of the institution who leaked it has been viewed very seriously and appropriate action shall be taken against the institution. The board has lodged a complaint with the police on this matter,” NBSE Chairman, Asano Sekhose stated in a notification issued on Monday.

She further informed the institutions conducting the Class 11 promotion examination that the question papers of the remaining subjects would be uploaded only at 8 am on the day of the examination at 8 a.m.

The examination will continue as scheduled, it said, while directing all the educational institutions conducting any examination to take utmost care and maintain strict confidentiality.

The NBSE Class 11 examination for the academic year 2022 began on April 1 and will culminate on the 23rd.
