Dimapur, Jan. 7 (EMN): Pranab Vidyapith Higher Secondary School (PVHSS), managed by Bharat Sevashram Sangha (BSS), Dimapur, celebrated its 39th foundation day on January 5 at Pranab jubilee auditorium.
An update from the school informed that the ceremony was attended by Param Pujyapada Srimat Swami Viswapremanandaji Maharaj, vice president of BSS from Kolkata, as the chief guest and Srimat Swami Gurupanandaji Maharaj, joint secretary of All India Hindu Milan Mandir Central Committee, as the guest of honour. The guests were accompanied by Swami Chinmayanandaji Maharaj, chairman of PVHSS and in-charge of BSS Nagaland and Karbi-Anglong district of Assam.
On the occasion, the annual report was presented by the school’s principal, Monoj Bhattacharjee. A centenarian, Binode Behari Chanda, popularly known as BB Chanda, who is a senior most citizen of Dimapur among the Bengali community and also a senior most Rotarian, was honoured and felicitated for his notable achievement.
The school also awarded ‘Pranab Jyoti Award’ to all the toppers and subject toppers of HSLC-2022 and HSSLC-2022 (Science and Commerce) of the school.
The celebration was marked by presentation of various cultural items by the school students.
