Dimapur, Oct. 18 (EMN): Commemorating ‘World Sight Day,’ Phom Union Kohima PUK) conducted a health camp on October 16 at the premises of Phom Church, Kohima.
A press release from the union stated that the health camp was held after the devotional service, which commenced with an invocation prayer said by the associate pastor, H Paman. It informed that the camp was held with an aim to bring healthcare services closer to the people as well as promote healthy living among the people.
It informed that free services on gynaecology, dental, eye, medicine, pediatric and NCD screening were provided during the camp and medicines were provided to the beneficiaries free of cost. It added that more than 400 people were treated in the health camp and 71 free spectacles were also given to the beneficiaries.
The medical team comprise of Dr. Mereninla Senlem, eye surgeon and SPO NHM; Dr. Imotemsu, gynaecologist at NHAK; Dr. Vikie-o Khrumo, medicine specialist at NHAK; Dr. Hoboto Chishi, GDMO at NHAK; Dr. Angto Phom, anaesthetist and senior specialist at NHAK; Dr. Akatoli, pediatrician at CHC Cheipobozou; Dr. Manen Phom, GDMO; and Dr. Ngailong Phom, dental surgeon.
