Pughoboto SDPDB urges PWD (R&B) to maintain roads

DIMAPUR — The Pughoboto sub-divisional planning and development (SDPDB) has entrusted the executive engineer of PWD (R&B) with the task to clear blocked drainage and maintenance of roads in Pughoboto sub-division.

The request was made during the monthly SDPDB meeting held on August 1 at DB Hall under the chairmanship of MLA, Dr. Sukhato A Sema, and co-chaired by ADC and vice chairman of SDPDB, Tiameren Chang, stated a DIPR report.

It stated that the need for establishment of Economic and Statistical office in Pughoboto was discussed and recommended to the government for necessary action.

As highlighted by the functional manager of Sub-District Industries Centre (Sub-DIC) on the dilapidated condition of the office building in Pughoboto, the board recommended for renovation of the office. Additionally, a committee for inauguration of new administrative complex and SBI office was constituted.

The house further discussed on preparations and work distribution for the upcoming Independence Day celebration on August 15. It was decided that the parade rehearsal for the Independence Day would commence from August 5.

All government offices and educational institutions are requested to hoist the national flag from 6 am on that day, while all business establishments would remain closed during Independence Day programme.
