Dimapur, March 10 (EMN): A meeting of the business advisory committee was held on March 9 at the Assembly Committee room under the chairmanship of Speaker Pro-tem NLA Mmhonlumo Kikon.
The meeting according to the press release issued by the commissioner & secretary of NLA, N Benjamin Newmai finalised the provisional programme for the ensuing first session of the 13th Assembly.
The committee decided to conduct the session from March 13 to 26th.
During the session, following business would be taken up: Oath / affirmation by members; election of speaker; proving of majority, if any; address by governor; obituary references, if any; moving of motion of thanks to the governor’s address; laying of reports / rules, if any; presentation of supplementary demand for grants for the year 2017- 2018; presentation of budget for 2018–2019; laying of statement of Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management Act (FRBMA); presentation of C&AG report; debate on the motion of thanks to the governor’s address; announcement of the constitution of various financial and non- financial committees by the speaker; and announcement of panel of chairman.
