DIMAPUR— The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has congratulated the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government on successful completion of nine years in power and wished it the best for the years ahead.

In a press statement, the Nagaland-based political party lauded the NDA under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that it has pushed the country to the “global forum” by becoming world’s fifth largest economy. This, it said, ‘speaks volumes of the leadership that is steering the nation towards becoming a first world nation’.

Maintaining that it is proud to be an alliance partner of the NDA, which has completed 25 years of existence, the NDPP said the long partnership goes on to show the strong trust and bond amongst the alliance partners.

“With less than a year before the general elections of 2024, we are confident that under the leadership of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, the NDA will once again sweep the polls with an absolute majority,” it said.

Describing the honour and respect accorded to Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio during the recent NDA partners’ meeting in Delhi as humbling, the NDPP said the acknowledgement of the CM’s contributions to the alliance reflects his status in the national politics, for which it thanked the leadership and NDA partners.

“It is our continued prayer that the Hon’ble Chief Minister will contribute more towards the growth of the NDA and take our state to greater heights,” said the party, while thanking the people of Nagaland for their continued support towards the PDA government and appealing to do so in the coming days too.
