The season of lights and festivity is on but the people of Wokha district, Tseminyu subdivision and Pughoboto subdivision may have to wait a little while–a major electricity substation feeding the three areas is down with ‘technical problem.’
The executive engineer of the transmission division of Kohima issued a notice on Tuesday, December 8, informing about the disruption.
The establishment stated: ‘This is for information of the public that due to some technical problem at 132/33 KV sub-station at Wokha, power supply to Wokha district, Tseminyu and Pughoboto sub-divisions has been disrupted. While the department is trying its best to restore the said sub-station at the earliest, the public is requested to bear with the inconvenience caused which is highly regretted.’
